When I open my photos in my pictures, it defaults to a horrible dell photo
program and i want to change it to windows picture manager - anyone know how?
i can't figure it out.

Right click on one of your photo.
Click on Open with on the opening menu.
A list will open. Click on Choose program at the bottom of this list.
A new list will open, select what you want. Probably Windows Picture and Fax
viewer. Then check the box "Always...."
