Will Microsoft be supporting Adobe DNG at the shell level?
If Windows had system wide DNG support, previews and thumbnails in the My
Pictures folder...it would really push the platform ahead in the digital
photography.
As is XP is already the most photo friendly OS...why not make it better!

Are there any comments or insider knowledge?

I'm sure it will be a while before you see support for DNG format in the OS
until the format becomes a standard format used by all digital camera
manufactures for raw files. It would also need to be a standard format used
by third party image editors.
