simple question that I cannot find the answer to

should I move from Plus! Photo Story to PhotoStory 3? I'm all confused
about which is the newest and latest.

I thought I bought Plus Photo Story on-line from Microsoft, don't remember
for sure, but I see PhotoStory 3 looks like a free download.

In summary, which is the latest and greatest?? Thanks!

=====================================

You probably purchased Plus! Digital Media
Edition which includes several apps including
Photo Story.

Plus! Digital Media Edition:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/plus/dme/dmehome.asp

If you have an earlier version of Photo Story...
you can update to Photo Story 2 at the following site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/plus/dme_more/moreupdates.asp

Photo Story 3 is free and will run as a separate
program. BTW...it doesn't have the option to
create VCDs.

You can download Photo Story 3 from the
following site:

I am glad you asked this question, I was just wondering the same thing since
I got Plus! (the media edition ) last year also and just got Photo Story 3
as a free download. I was trying to do a back and forth comparison and still
haven't finished but I see the answers will save me some time.
