I have a brand new HP Media Centerm7160n Photosmart PC. When I use Media
Center to automatically detect my TV Signal Configuration it says that it is
unable to be found and to make sure a TV signal is connected. We also tried
to manually configure and only CBS comes in with sound but the picture is
bad, all the rest of the channels are what you would expect with no cable
connected... fuzzy horizontal lines. I know that the cable is good and it is
connected correctly. We have another HP Media Center hooked up upstairs and
its Live TV works perfectly. We tried hooking this PC upstairs in place of
it and we got no results. We updated the drivers for the hardware. It comes
with a Conexant Falcon II NTSC Video Capture... if that helps. Thanks.

If its new, take it back and get it replaced. Or make them prove to you it works in the store. Sounds like a bad tuner if it gets one channel when manually cofigured.

I have the same problem... I have had the card replaced 4 times.. sent the computer back 2 times and it still doen't work. Currently the tech folks at HP are researching this and are to get back with me this week.
