I have purchased a sharp A3 printer, scanner, copier. The scanner works fine
with USB and theres no problem with the copier, but it will just not load the
printer on USB. I keep getting 'the specified port is unknown. I have tried
manualy installing the printer as well as with the wizard. I am XP pro with
service pack 2 and all other critical updates.Looking at other forums this
does seam to be a problem for a lot of other USB printers using the same
operating system. The only solution most of these othre come up with is to
reinstall XP pro, then install the printer, before installing service pack 2
and this works. I cannot afford this due to all my programs and business
software I am running.
Sharp have not come up with any suggestions at all!
Please help.
Thank you King Fob

Disconnect the all in one unit from the PC. Ensure you completely uninstall
the unit first....

Download a new set of the software driver package from Sharp and install the
software before connecting the printer. Do NOT connect the unit until the
software tells you to do so.
