What happens if a piece of hardware is replaced with different piece and the
drivers need to change, do you require a completely new image to support the
new hardware, say if the old model has gone out of stock etc. Is embedded XP
capable of masking the heterogeneity of the hardware, or must an image be
built for each and every hardware combination?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Rob,

As long as you provide enough drivers to support your new hardware you will be ok.
