Remote Desktop Connection Issues...Help! |
|
|
At work we have an operations room where we have applications that run around
the clock. On occasion, we use remote desktop to remote in and monitor these
applications. When we remote in, we use the same login name and password
that the machine is already logged in as (we though this would prevent a
disconnect and establishment of another session). For example, the machine
is up and running logged in as "userone" and password "xyz123". We connect
to the machine using the same ID and password.
We can see the running apps...no problem. When we disconnect the remote
session (either via "X" or via Start-->
Disconnect) we have discovered that everything shuts down on the machine we
connected to. When we go to the ops room, we have to log back in and all of
our applications have stopped.
What can we do to stop this behavior? I know remoting in establishes
another session...but we use the same ID and do see the apps running, etc.
This is a big headache for us. We used to use PCAnywhere and it worked great
but we can't use it anymore due to corporate policies.
Thanks!!!! |
