Address Book With Missing WAB File |
|
|
Just curious. Recently I tried to find my address book "WAB" file,
searching my hard drive with the search string "*.wab". No file was found.
However, my OE address book still has entries in it. It it possible to have
address book entries without any WAB file? If so, what file is storing them?
I'm using Windows XP Pro. TIA |

Crikey Jonybrv!. Tim I've searched for as you have as well and found
nothing. From Windows Explorer when I navigate to the folder;
"C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE\Application
Data\Microsoft\Address Book", I find it. Is it in there for you?
Post back.

In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as
hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files
and Folders under Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>View.
