IE Links Not Working |
|
|
My pc is new (HP) and when I am on the web through IE, more than half the
time my links I click on dont work. A lot of time I get some pages that
doesnt work and the url is:
http://service.bfst.com .........
BUT IF I GO CLICK THE SAME LIKE THROUGH AOL IT WORKS FINE. SO I KNOW THE
PROBLEMS IS IE/MY SETTINGS ON MY NEW PC.
Other links I click dont work and I see in the URL, that is has a long URL
with more than one http: string. So I have to go cut the bad part out.
Please help. |

You probably have spyware and need to remove it. Two programs that have
consistently worked for me are Microsoft AntiSpyware and Spybot - Search &
Destroy. Both programs need to be updated to remove the newest spyware. Click
on help in each program to learn how to fully use all the features in both
programs.
Microsoft AntiSpywar

Spybot
http://users.skynet.be/spybot/spybotsd13.exe
It wouldn't hurt to get a good AntiVirus program and personal firewall too
so you can stop unwanted programs from being install without your knowledge.
Search these posts in here for info on all this stuff. Type in antivirus
fiewall spyware and you will get a ton of past posts.
Good luck.
