I'm using the Wizard which is part of XP Pro and according to the Wizard
instructions and processes have successfully transferred files from my old PC
to my new laptop. But nothing tells me where the transferred files are
located. I've done all kinds of searches but they're not showing up. Can
anyone provide some assistance, please?

They should be in the equivalent locations to what they were on the
old PC.

Note that on Windows XP the single "My Documents" folder is replaced
by a "<user name> Documents" folder for each user account.

So if you used a different user name on your old PC than you are on
the new laptop it may be that the files do not show up under "my
documents" on the laptop.

Try searching the laptop hard drive for a known file name for a
document or other data file. That should tell you if the files were
in fact transferred. Also, assuming you are using Outlook Express
for email on both machines search the laptop hard drive for inbox.dbx.

Thanks for the quick response. I would have expected the files to be in
similar file paths and locations as on the old PC as you've suggested but
they don't seem to be. I've done a known file name search without luck. Maybe
they didn't actually transfer? I'll check out the Gary Woodruff article.
