I made a movie, added titles then saved it to my DV camcorder with Movie
Maker 2. My PC starts recording finished movie onto camcorder (the tape
counter starts running and the REC icon is shown). But there is nothing on
the tape, it is just a blue screen.

Win XP Home, no SP2, MM 2.0, 1394 cable, Sony Mini DV camcorder

Any help is appreciated. I've followed scrupuously the MM tutorial.

Try a test capture with the WinDV utility.... link on the Digital Camcorders
