I've found that I can use my older (1997) 15" monitor after installing
SP2. It looks like the when a 640x480 monitor was ran at 800x600. Is
there any fix for this. Naturally there wasn't anything in the KB about
it. I've booted it to safe mode and set it to 800x600 at 16 colors and
turned off hardware acceleration but it didn't make any difference.

It works fine with my newer 19" monitor but I don't want to buy a new
monitor for my second computer. I'll put it back to 9x before I spend
any more money on it.

Anybody have any idea's how to fix this shy of fdisk?

Hi Tony,

SP2 includes display drivers. This has to do with your card not your
monitor. Either do a roll back via the Device Manager and/or download the
appropriate drivers per your make of card. As for 16 color that could be
your problem as well, try it at 32 also check your refresh rate.

Good luck!

Thanx, I'll try that.

BTW, trying 16 color was an act of desperation. I was running out of
things to try and I knew it couldn't hurt...
