I purchased XP home edition a year or so ago and just opened the package
tonight and installed a new hard drive and XP into my computer. Could not
get it to work with the software that I already am using with ME. Love to
get my money back on the junk product "XP" and the hard drive, I suppose.
How?

You can't after 30 days.
Next time verify suitability in advance before spending your money.

Take it back to where you purchased it.. explain to them that you didn't
look into XP properly before buying.. adopt the same attitude with them as
you have here,, they are sure to do something for you..
