I have a windows xp and i just recently bought a webcam. However, when i
install and everything and try to use it in messenger, this message pops up:

Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not
plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again.

Technical problems prevent you from having a webcam conversation at this
time. Please try again later.

Technical problems prevent you from having a webcam conversation at this
time. Please try again later.

You have canceled your invitation to start viewing webcam.

But when i use yahoo messenger, the webcam works perfectly fine. please help
me

It is an IBM net camera pro.
