Perhaps the screen resolution of your monitor is set beyond the specs for
which the game or application was designed. Many games were designed for
800x600 screen resolution and many people are running with a screen
resolution of 1280x1024. You can check the resolution at which you are
running in the Display applet in Control Panel on the Settings tab.
Higher resolutions make objects and text on the screen appear smaller. The
only thing you can do to compensate is to check the resolution at which the
game or application was designed to run is to change your resolution to
match or find some happy medium that may not be as a high a screen
resolution but gives you more of a screen filling image.
