Life is getting way too complicated for this old warrior.
I had frontpage 98 and got frontpage 2000 as an upgrade. All worked well on
a 98SE machine.
Now I have an xp machine and I want to install frontpage 2000. The 2000
disk is looking for a previous copy of frontpage 98 because of the upgrade
status. Frontpage 98 won't load because of the following message:
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. Te system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate
applications. There is an ignore option but I find that it does the same as
close .

I don't care about frontpage 98 but I need frontpage 2000. Do I have to
install FP98?

I saw a previous post regarding loading similar software and followed the
answer to Vegies2004 from Mr. Solomon but the result was could not find the
path.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

You should not have to install FrontPage 98 before installing Front Page
2000. Inserting the FP98 install CD when prompted by the FP2000 setup
program should be adequate to get past the upgrade check.
