Hi, I am wanting to make some stop motion videos. I have made them in the
past, with a Logitech ClickSmart 310 and the software which came with it to
make the stop motion. Then I added sound with Windows movie maker. Well I
want want better quality movies, and I want to use my dads video camera, and
it has the DV-in / out port to connect to the usb port. I still have to buy
the cable, but I was wondering what software I can use to take still images
while viewing the live video feed on the pc at the same time. So I can see
the image/video on screen, and click a button to take a picture. Can windows
movie maker do this? I have the newest that came with Sevice pack 2. I can
make the stop motion movie on windows movie maker, but i need good software
too take pictures the way i desribed. Sorry for the spelling, i'am in a
rush.

Thank you.

Hello,

If you check the help file for Movie Maker you will see that you can take still
images of the video by simply pressing the small camera icon. Check the help
file for full details

You CANNOT connect DV to a USB port DV MUST go via a firewire connection to a
firewire card.
