I have been trying to save my 40 minute movie on CD and it has been 12 hours
since it started. MM is creating the movie and it indicates 6 million minutes
remaining and growing. Is this normal?

No.
Firstly though, is this cd to be played on pc's only, as cd's made by MM
will not play on normal dvd players. To do this it is best to save the movie
file in MM as a dv-avi file and then use the likes of nero/roxio etc to make
the cd.

Hi Please help as this is kind of urgent.

I saved my movie as a dv avi file. When I create a vcd using Nero ro ROxio,
the pictures and the music are no longer synchronized! Why and what to do?

Thanks
