If I put 1 (MPEG-2) clip on the storyboard, I can play it without problem -
haven't tried to save. If I add another MPEG-2 clip (3 mins) my hard drive
light flickers away for at least 15 minutes.
I can make it stop by <File> <Save movie> (but I don't save) - yep, that
stops the hard drive access!!!
I cancel out of there and then <File> <exit> and <Save>. But then I cannot
re-open MM2 as it is still 'loaded' - I use Taskmanager to 'end' it and then
re-open.
Why does it do this?

It could be the mpeg2 clips, MM was designed to work primarily with dv-avi
clips.
