to "export" a completed movie to a DV recorder? here's my problem (i'm still
in tears). i completed my second movie project and thought i had "saved" it
to my dv recorder. then i removed my photos (it was all stills) from my
collection. then i realized that i hadn't saved it to my dv recorder (just
my computer and cd! now when i got into the project, i have all of the red
x's. pooh! when i re-import the clips, they aren't the same size and the
music doesn't fit right, and the transitions are gone and i'm just sick.
is there a way to transfer a completed, already saved movie through MM2 (or
any other way) onto my dv recorder? it's a panasonic and i've e-mailed them,
to no avail. i have two grandma's waiting to see my creation!
thanks so much! i never thought i'd make it this far, but i LOVE MM2! |

Make a new project, import your finished movie into it and place on the
timeline. Finally save to the tape.

Hello,
Yes, you can still find the missing files or to solve your original problem. If you only tell us correctly . . . if you did NOT
deleted it (still pictures) and if you did NOT change or re-Saved with the same file name.
This is how I fixed the same problem:
1. After I open MM2 and see those BIG red X's.
2. I Right mouse click either the Video clip (only one clip) or the still picture in my
Collection folder.
3. From the appeared windows I choose; Browse for missing file.
4. I try my best to locate it and I even open Window Explorer to find it quickly or use
Search command.
5. If you put all your still pictures to a named folder --- it is much easier & quickly.
6. After you click your folder name --- all missing picture or any files will come back to life.
Tip: You can check this action by Moving (only) some file.
For your last questions:
If your DV Recorder is a DVD Recorder & Player and the only way to record to a DVD is to Saved to your DV Camera first by choosing
Send to DV Camera from your MM2 and follow the instruction given in MM2. Use a Fire Wire cable if your DV Recorder has a port to
input your video signal for highest quality DVD.
If you need more guidance:
Read my earlier post; news:Ow0YGj97EHA.2276@TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl...
Hope this help you,
Rino

If you have a saved DV-AVI then you you just need a utility to do the
