I have a build that has been working fine for 12 months, recently upgraded
to SP2.

When runinging dependency checker on existing build it now goes from 67MB to
125MB.
It appears that PNP:User Mode adds a heap of components such as;
core networking
Firewall.

Any help would be appreciated.

Darren,

This is a known issue that appears on SP2 due to new firewall stack added.

Here you will find the steps on how to reduce the footprint (basically, removing the firewall components):
