My computer is a year and a half old but when I moved my burner stopped
writing. It still reads games/music/data but it doesn't write, it gets up to
about 3% and then it freezes, I've left it up for several hours but it
doesn't get any further. This happens in Nero, Windows media player and
Incd. I'm frustrated. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Colin

Is it possible the drive could have been damaged while you were moving?
assuming this is the only change from when it did work to when it didn't.
it gets up to 3% writing data to the disc, or is it still preparing to write
(what's on the cd after you stop it, if you have some way of telling)?
I'd use a program which can be very verbose with error messages and such,
like cdrtools (not the most friendly set of programs, but it's what I use for
most cd stuff, and free), and copy what happens here or fix it, depending
what you learn from that.
