I'm looking at the instructions included with the player, but can't get past
the 1st thing: "Click copy to CD or Device". I don't see this option on the
Windows Media Player. If I could get past that step, the instructions then
say to select "Removable Disk" to view the contents of the player; under
"items to copy", browse the folder for tracks I want to add to the player,
click "copy" and the tracks should copy to the player. Sounds so easy but
what a struggle...Please help!! Thanks!

What sort of MP3 player? Is it compatible with WMP10?

It's a RAVE MP/AMP 256. The instructions included with the player
specifically have a "#6", explaining how to use Windows Media Player to
transfer tracks to the player. Actually, as I'm looking at the very first
sentence it says "You can use Windows Media Player 9.0 (not 10) to manage
your music files, copy tracks from your audio CDs, transfer tracks to the
player and more." Windows XP came with WMP10, as far as I know anyway. Does
this mean I can't use it now? Thanks Mike!

Was the "(not 10)" in the notes or did you add that?

You might care to look at the Rave website for WMP10 instructions. I
don't have an MP3 player (that I use) so that's about as far as I can
take you.

Thanks Mike! I actually did figure out how to do it. Turns out that the USB
connection in the front of my tower didn't work, so I went to the WMP10
website and watched their video and saw that they connected the cord to the
back of the tower. After doing that, the device was accepted and I was able
to syncronize the songs to the MP3 player. I thought it looked easy and it
was; I just had the USB connection wrong. Thanks for taking the time to
respond. Happy Holidays!!
