System reboots on it's own. |
|
|
After almost a year of running great my computer started to reboot on
it's own. The error I receive is:
| Quote: | STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xf38ad98a, 0f0505840, 0x00000000)
tcpip.sys - address f38ad98a base at f3891000, DateStamp 41107ect

Any ideas?

Hi, have you added any RAM, or chaged the configuration of the RAM on your
system lately?? It could be a memory problem (similar incident happened to
me).
If you want to find out what exactly what the problem is, you can stop the
random reboots, and instead, you will recive a "blue screen of death", with
an error message that states the problem (tech support will be able to help
you from here).
To do this, right click on "MY COMPUTER", click on PROPERTIES, click on the
ADVANCED tab, click on STARTUP AND RECORVERY, uncheck AUTOMATIC RESTART,
click OK, then APPLY, and OK again. This should help you......Let me know
how it works out......

Hello Jeff,
That's the real problem, I have not made any changes to the
hardware since building the system. The only thing I have done in the
past few weeks is add a few games for my kids.
I already unchecked the Automatic Restart and received the
following error message. There was a few paragraphs of normal
shutdown warnings, but below is the important stuff:
************************************************************
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0xf38ad98a, 0f0505840, 0x00000000)
tcpip.sys - address f38ad98a base at f3891000, DateStamp 41107ect
