I have some home movies I shot on an old camera. With my DVD-writer I was
able to copy those movies to a DVD, but I would like to put some of them up
on a website I am building and would like to use Movie Maker to edit them.
How can I get the movies off of the DVD to do this? When I go into Movie
Maker, it doesn't give me an option to do this.

Thanks,

David

David,

You have to go thru some conversion steps with other software.

See the Importing Source Files > Video > Discs page of my site....

Movie Maker 2 - www.papajohn.org
Photo Story 2 - www.photostory.papajohn.org
Photo Story 3 - use the menu branch at www.papajohn.org

PapaJohn,

That helps greatly. One question, in your writeup you say use TMPGEnc (you
are using v2.5) to do this process. Is this software available? Download?
Your site? Or already on my computer?

Thanks,

David

Nevermind, I found a link on your website to the freeware site.

Very helpful.
