When im on the internet I try to log on to windows
messenger 4.7. but it says that there was a problem with
the internet connection. I have aol and dial-up is there
any way I can get it to work?

Would you mind installing MSN Messenger 6.x instead? MSN Messenger 6.x provides an errorcode
and a troubleshooter which makes it much more easier to identify these problems. You can
find it here:
