Jonathan, You replied to my 1st post sveral days ago
where I was experiencing a problem with audio
conversations dropping after being connected for several
minutes.

The following are excerpts from that post:

Quote:
Finally seemed to get all of my firewall and port
issues
squared away and everything seems to work except for a
problem with audio conversations. Am using Msg 7 on
both
ends and the conversation establishes fine. However,
it
wants to drop the connection several minutes after the
connection has been established. At this point we
simply
re-establish an audio connection and everything is fine
for another couple of minutes...Any ideas..thanx in
advance....L

I'm not exactly sure what's going on (especially since
this is a beta release) but I'm
curious about you and your contacts' networking
configuration.

Also, have you happen to try video and noticed the same
effect?

I reponded :

We are both running Sprint DSL (Zyxel 645 modems)...

Both running XP Pro SP2 (thus the initial problems with
firewall and QOS scheduler)...

On my end I am running the Sprint modem into a Linksys
(WRT54G) wireless router...

I running DHCP from the Linsys Router to a couple of
wireless PCs on this end...

On the other end, the Sprint Modem is the only device on
the network....

I have not tried video from either end....

Current State of problem :

I have since knocked down both modem and router :

I have reconfigured Sprint Modem to defaults :

I have replaced Linksys Router with a brand new one :

I have uninstalled MSN 7.0 (completely incl registry) :

I have reinstalled MSN 6.2 :

I have got everything back up and running :

I am still having the exact same problem :

I am at a complete loss here :

Any additional advice would be appreciated
