Greetings Joel,
Actually there is no specific setting for voice conversations in Messenger (yes this has
annoyed me as well). When you use the sliders within Messenger, they'll just adjust the
Windows sound levels.

Whenever I turn down the volume for the windows sound I can barely hear the
other people I talk to on Messenger. When I turn the volume up to a level
where I can hear them, the windows sound scare the crap out of me cause they
are so loud. The only one that will turn both down is either Master volume or
Wav.
