Hibernation problem on XPE SP2 |

Hi,
I am testing hibernation once resume many feature on windows XPE sp2. I
followed the steps mentioned in the msdn site for this. The system went
to hibernation without any problem. But when I resume the system from
hibernation the system hangs when it boot to windows. It shows a busy
hourglass. So I have to reboot by pressing the power button where it
gave two options : Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot
menu AND Continue with system restart. I selected the first option to
put the system back to normal state since the second option put the
system to the same state as before(hung with hour glass). Could anyone
help me to to find out what would be the cause of this problem.Have I
missed some components.
I have configured my system with minlogon with command shell.

And just to add to that a little bit more..
In case you don't do any hardware modifications while the device hibernated. check how the device resumes from StandBy mode.
Check it with your image and, if it does not work there properly, with XP Pro.

I tested the system with winlogon. The hibernation once resume many
feature worked perfectly. But with minlogon, the system is not even
resuming from standby. It is giving the same problem(an hourglass in
windows without any response for keyboard or mouse) as when the system
resume from hibernation.Is there any problem with minlogon on sp2?
I am using sp2 EWF ntldr and not changing any hardware while the system
goes to hibernation with minlogon.

Replace the Windows Logon component from your winlogon configuration with
Minlogon and check HORM. if it worked configuration then there are some
dependencies needs to be satisfied and we are only few steps away form
success :-)

Hi Shiju,
If you are hibernating from command prompt then make sure that command prompt is not in text mode (minimize it to to window in
graphic mode)
And then hibernate.
I had problems with bad video drivers back in old days with SP1 and fullscreen command prompt resuming.
