I am trying to upgrade to XPE SP2. I have a full version
of sp1 and downloaded the upgrade. Everything seemed to
install correctly. When I try to build the simplest of
builds I get a savehive(.defualt) error. Has anyone seen
this before?

Alex,

Do you get this error during FBA or at build time?
Check if you have enough space on target storage to copy image and run it through FBA.

Also search here:

It happens during first boot. It actually stops and you
must click OK for it to continue. It will continue on
after the error, but the image is defective.

I have been using SP1 for almost 2 years with little
trouble.

Alex,

There may be many reasons for failure but one of them is just that you image size was increased much while upgrading to SP2.

Anyway, please check the space on your target storage first.

Then explore or send us your FBALog.txt.
