dual windows xp? |
|
|
logged on last night to find a new installation of XP on my pc! New in the
fact that it had some very old icons on the desktop and the email was not
even set up! I have had this pc for almost 2 years. I do have 2 hard drives
in this PC and I thinking the smaller of the 2 had an older XP on it. Is
there a way to look for a 2nd OS on one of these hard drives? My restore
points are all gone too, which proves that this version is quite old, or I
deleted the restore points? Thanks |

Have you checked out your bios to see which of the too disks that are set to
be no.1 in the boot sequence ? Another thing can be the setup of the disks (
slave / master )
Try to set jumpers on disks to cable select and connect the disk with your
OP at the end of the cable ( outmost plug) ( also check if you got any
spyware on your computer, firewall and antivirus dosn't allways stop these
things ( try these programs to check for spyware / trojans etc. on your pc ))

IF you in fact have a second installation of Windows on that second
drive, open up Windows Explorer and find it. Just look for X:\WINDOWS
[replace X with the correct Drive letter].
