I have a problem where the help and support service will not stay started,it
will start then closes right away with a message that this is by design for
some services. However, on other systems it stays started.

Does anyone know what is going on or of any group policy or registry hacks
that create this behavior.

Running the following as a batch file will allow for short time frame use
then problem recreates itself.

winmgmt /clearadap
winmgmt /kill
winmgmt /unregserver
winmgmt /regserver
winmgmt /resyncperf
cd c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo
REM COUNT TO 2 AND CONTINUE
pause
start msinfo32.exe
cd C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries
start helpctr.exe

This is an XP SP2 System will all of the latest patches. SFC /SCANNOW after
XPSP2 is usless. Even though I copied the disk to root and edited the source
path fom the cd it still prompts for the CD on one occasion but doesn't tell
me what it was requesting.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
