On a XP Pro SP2 workstation that has had several hotfixes I have tried to run
SFC /SCANNOW. It prompts for the Service Pack2 disk. I understand what and
why it is doing this, however, I have read a Win2K KB on SFC overwritting
Hotfixes. Does anyone know if XP also has this problem? When a hotfix is
applied does it overwrite the file in the cache so that SFC knows it is
supposed to be there or does the cache retain the SP2 files?

Any insight would be appreciated.
