1. I hate spam!
2. Bulk ink systems on the later Epsons often require modification or
removal of covers.
3. Such mods will result in a voided warrenty, unless you can replace the
modified parts before return, and load the printer with genuine Epson tanks
before returning the printer for warrenty service.
4. It's possible to get third party refillable empty tanks without the
"Chip".
(You take the appropriate chip from an Epson tank and attach it to the
blank tank, reset it, fill the tank, and go.)
Staples recently started carring the chip resetter for about $12.00, and
some but not all the compatable inks.
5. Students doing a lot of document generation should consider a reasonably
priced laser printer, due to the printing speed. Ideally between roomies,
at least one color inkjet and one laser printer should be available.
