The feature that makes an app startup when you insert a CD or DVD is called
Autoplay. First, reboot your computer. If that doesn't fix your problem, it's
possible that autoplay is either turned off or misconfigured. Follow these
steps:
1. Right-click your D: drive, and then click Properties.
2. Click the Autoplay tab.
3. Click the drop-down list, and select the type of file that the disk
you're putting in contains. For example, if you're putting in a music CD,
select "Music CD".
4. Click Select An Action To Perform, and then click the action that you
want to happen--such as "Play Using Windows Media Player".
5. Click OK.
The next time you put a disk it, Autoplay should open up the right
application. If not, you should be able to use that same dialog to
reconfigure it.
Hope that helps. |
