Hi. I have used Movie Maker 2.o before and have had 0 problems. Now, I'm
still using 2.0 and am trying to add video transitions& effects but each time
I drop them to the storyline the program ends immediately. I have plenty of
space on my hard drive and my virtual memory is a bit low, but shouldn't
affect that as such. Do I need to expand my paging file so I have more
virtual memory? or should I reinstall windows xp again? I have service pack
1. The last time I tried to update to service pack 2 windows xp, my computer
didn't run efficiently. Any help would be much appreciated!

You probably added other software that included one of the codecs that MM2
has problems with.... see the Problem Solving > Crashes and Hangs page of my
site.
