USB Modem Problem |
|
|
I have a Diamond Supramax USB 56k Dial-up modem installed on an Amd k6-2 500
Mgz computer.
The only way I can get the thing to work is to set my dialing from "Tone" to
"Pulse" but then it will only connect at 31.2 kbps, my ISP is Juno.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any input.

Does your ISP support higher speeds? Not every ISP does.
Also, depending on the distance to the connecting server, speeds can
descrease/

Thanks for responding!
I believe my ISP is fine, I could connect at 52 kbps with my Lucent PCI
modem before I bought the USB Modem.
Also, when I try to connect on "Tone" dialing the modem thinks that the line
is busy.
