BIG BIG BOOT PROBLEM...Kinda complicated... |
|
|
Hey guys, first of all i would like to thank you all for dedicating me some time, weather your answer is helpfull or not, i would even like to say that i am not english so please dont mind some mistakes, its my first time posting on this forum and i am posting because of my BIG BIG problem.
I got a PC With
Windows XP
Windows Vista
and
Linux Ubuntu.
im posting with vista at the moment.
i have already configured the bootloader for all of them, so thats not a problem,
the problem is that when i try boot into XP i get a COMPLEATLY BLANK BLACK screen.
I looked up on the net but the simptoms were not the same: some had a blinking line at the bottom others had a moving cursur and others had the black screen AFTER the windwos xp logo.!
i know i configured the bootloader correctly because when i select XP from the bootloader and quickly press F8 i get the menu saying
Safe MODE
safe MODE with command
Safe MOde with network.....
you know the rest.
i tryed to enter safe mode but it hangs at a certain point.
The issue is that i dont want to format it due to large ammounts of data on it, I have tryed to restore it with the CD but when the CD loades i click ENTER the F8 to accept the conditions And then it says:
"Searching for versions of windows"
i know that it should normally find Windwos XP and then i should select "repair" or somthing like that but it doesnt find it.!
SO what to do??
I even tryed copying form the CD the files.
NTLDR
NTDETECT
But still Nothing.
If you need additional data to answer my question just aske and i will post back.
