Unable to install .Net Frame 2.0 |

I'm not altogether sure where to post this question. I have been getting an error message on startup telling me that I need to apply a JIT Debugger to start a certain program. Turns out the program is .Net Framework 2.0. I tried everything that I could think of but was unable to debug the app. I downloaded a new copy of 2.0 yesterday (since I have dialup it took nearly all day!) This is the message that I get when I try to install it:
.Net Frame will not install -
error message "error creating process <C:\Docume~1\owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP000TMP\Install.exe>. Reason: C:\WINDOWS\system32\advpack.dll"
Any ideas, anyone? Any help would be appreciated. I was trying to open Turbotax when I got into all this yesterday. |
