NEW Hardware - Video Controller (VGA Compatible) Monitor |
|
|
Hello Everyone,
I've searched the forums a little and I know that some cases regarding this question are more specific depending on the brand of computer, therefore I could use some help.
I re-installed WinXP Home after a severe crash. I know it is a video "driver" issue, because when I installed a driver from the manufacturer's site, it seemed to solve the "drag-window lag", however the screen would not be filled to the edges as it is when no driver is installed.
Any clues as to why? Additional drivers required? I've drived changing resolution and it's a no-go.
Thanks in advance.
MY SPECS:
COMPAQ Pressario S6000NX
WinXP Home
1024 GB RAM
8GB HDD for OS
40GB HDD for files |

Hello everyone,
I seem to have found a solution - while reading info on intel's site I found that by changing the refresh rate of the monitor to "85 herz" made the screen go back to the way it is supposed to be in 1024 x 768 resolution.
But I don't know why that is - if anyone can enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'll try to find more info online. |
