How to : connect to 2 networks from one PC |
|
|
I am trying to connect to 2 separate networks on my notebook computer running XP Pro.
I need to connect to my office LAN which has a connection with Internet connection but behind the firewall. I am trying to run some VoIP clients on my notebook but cannot do so coz the voip ports have been blocked.
Note that this is connected via a wired LAN to the back of my notebook.
I also have access to a wireless public internet which I can access on my WiFi on the same notebook. This connection will allow me to access the VoIP client (eg. Skype and Yahoo etc).
The connection to both networks are OK. Problem is when I try to access the Internet via a browser, the connection still goes thru the office LAN instead of the wireless public internet connection. Therefore when I try to connect to skype, the connection remains blocked by the office firewall Sad
Anyone got a solution? I need to remain connected to my office LAN so that I can get access to my office resources, eg. network printer, storage, shared files etc. At the same time, I want to connect to the external public internet via the wireless broadband, so that I can start up the VoIP clients etc (without having to go thru the office LAN).
