Okay, so hypothetically lets say a person has a pirated version of Windows XP. Could that person go onto another computer and download Service Packs 1&2 and install it onto their own computer without worrying about Microsoft finding out?

When they install any microsoft updates, XP will recognise the unauthentic version of windows and request an activation key.
