I HIGHLY reccommend you not installing Vista Beta 2 over XP, which by default it will do. This will keep all your files, but if something goes wrong it will require a completely fresh install of XP, which is unnecessary.

What I did was partitioned my HDD into 2. Then I kept XP on one partition, and installed vista onto the other. And now, I can choose to boot XP or Vista on startup.

Program wise, most XP programs should work OK on Vista Beta 2, however it is a Beta so there's bound to be problems. For instance, my router is incompatible with MSN when running it on Vista.

Hope this helps

Jez

P.S, a great tool to use for partitioning your Hard Drive is Norton PartitionMagic; you should be able to get this off eBay for about £15.
