window shuts down, like hybernating |
|
|
Hello,
My system seems to all of a sudden shut down after some time. All power settings are set for always on. When I return from work, the system appears to be hibernating, but nothing (mouse, keys, 'wake up') gets it going again, so I'm stuck with the on/off button to restart. Once restarted the system is working without bugs. The only thing I can think of, that I have done new/different since, is using GameSpy to play F.E.A.R online. My usual AntiVir could not find anything malicious, so I am trying the trial of McAfee to see if orig AntiVir was affected. As I said all power settings are set to always on, and hibernation is off. AntiVir is up to date and scans every night.
When I first tried McAfee trial earlier today, and left it unattended during scan, I returned to the same problem, with no record of the scan upon reboot.
Anyone have any Idea? Any help would be appreciated!
