I have never run across any info on the option to dis-able an/or 'clean' out Google's search box.

I googled Google+auto-fill and found pages of foreign language, even setting preferences to English.

I'm using IE-6 ..XP, if this helps.

That's because that your IE supports non-English languages, Google search preference only affects the user interface and the primary language.
