Hi All,

I have a situation whereby I remove a PC from our work domain and when I try to login using the same account (cached domain account) it is no longer available, nor is my profile.

I know there is a workaround for this but cannot find it online.

In the mean time I have created a local user account that is exactly the same as the cached domain account. I have set the profile path to the cached domain account profile under Documents & Settings.

When I log on it sees the account and logs me in ... but then tries to copy the profile path across to the new user. In other words, it doesnt just use the cached credentials, it creates a whole new user and copys the profile.

Any suggestions??
