OR .....
There is a possibilty that the graphics card you have in your PC is not up to the job of loading the graphics for the game.
The suggestion of updating your graphics card driver is good but if you've installed XP SP2 then the chances are you have the latest driver.
What is the full spec of the PC? For example, CPU speed (Pentium 4, etc), RAM, hard drive space and the graphics card make, model and RAM amount. |

Thanks for the response. First of all I didn't say that the computer was
a Dell ME. All of his game discs worked on it. After I installed Windows XP with service pack 2 they wouldn't work. It gives message can't load
"openGL" subsystem. Also I updated his memory from 128 to 256. It has 20 gigabytes hard drive. If you need more info let me know. Thanks, Nitwit |

So after the SP 2 upgrade and the games dont work.
Did you try the video card driver update?
OpenGL is a feature that assists in rendering graphics. Clearly something SP2 has installed has affected your video card software.
If you haven't already, go to the manufacturers website and download the latest device driver.
After the installation, reboot and try again.
What video card do you have? |

| Thanks for your reply. The name of video card is Rage-128-pro-agp-4x-tmds. Have tried to download updates but says is incompatible and won't download. Been reading in other forums and a lot of people are having same program. Nitwit |

| Yes, it was after upgrading to service pack 2 that games won't load off from disc. |
