Cannot connect Media Center Extender, General failure (2003) |

I recently bought a media center extender, but I can get it to work with my HP computer.
Going through the setup everything seems to go fine until it tries to verify the "security ". At that point the media center extender shows a "general failure" with the "error code 2003" and reboots.
Looking at the event log on the media center computer, I get the following messages:
AffConfirm RQ- Device {00000000-0000-0010-8000-000f66fe10df} - successfully affiliated
ERROR: KeyExch RQ3 Device {00000000-0000-0010-8000-000f66fe10df}- There was an error processing this request. Error code 0x80004005
I switched all my firewalls off, I tired wired connection, a wireless connection, a different router, I even tried a direct x-over cable between the PC and the extender to make sure the hub was not interfering, but no success. It keeps giving me this error message.
Any suggestions??
