Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using Partition Magic? I am thinking of getting it as I need to resize one of my partitions. Are there other utilities like this that I might consider?

Thanks,
John

I used it a couple years ago, worked very well. AFAIK, Partition Magic has been around for a very long time and is the best partition tool.

Since Symantec took over this program, there have been innumerable reports of problems and data loss.

I'd highly suggest Acronis Disk Director Suite, or an exceptional program I have been using lately that allows the creation and deletion of partitions (without data loss), defragging, and file-system checks, even from the simple bootable floppy disk:

Paragon Partition Manager.

You could check out a Linux magazine with a live CD/DVD of a distro that has QParted. Only about $10 to $15, and you might discover you like Linux as a dual boot option with XP.
