I have windows mce 2005 and have for a few months. My tv tuner is avermedia 1500. My set top box is scientific atlanta explorer 3250. My video card is evga geforce 6800 ultra 256. I have 2 hard drives Raptors by wd 76 gb ea. Neither one is more than 1/8 full.
I have done the TV set up a thousand times and I can not record. I can not change channels with mce remote. I have the ir sensor stuck to the front of the cable box and plugged into the mce transeiver. I have the usb cable plugged into the PC and the tranceiver. I have the cable running from my wall into the cable box and then into tha back of the tv tuner.
I can watch live tv on my pc but when I go to record it records whatever the tv channel is on at the time. It cannot change channels with the mce remote. It finds my cable box in settings and seems to read the cable box remote but when it gets to the last part of settings (changeing channels with mce remote) it doesn't work. |
